Introduction

Welcome to Mrs. Lang’s Blog for the Online B class. We’ll be using this site for teacher-to-student communication as well as student-to-student communication. My goal is to do one journal a week. The blog will be posted on Monday and you have until the following Friday to complete the questions on the blog by leaving a comment. Many of you may have your own personal blogs on MySpace or similar sites. For those of you who have never used a blog, this will give you some experience. Before we get started we’ll have to set some ground rules. First of all, all postings to this site must use school appropriate language. When you post, write in complete grammatically correct sentences. When commenting on another student’s post, keep your comments non-personal. You can agree or disagree with a comment but refrain from sarcasm and/or put-downs. State your position on the issue at hand and why you feel that way.
Your first assignment:
Who is your "hero" and what makes that person special to you?
To complete this task just click the comment (one line down to the right).

I honestly don't have a hero. But if I had to pick someone. I'd say, my mom and my dad. They've been through more then most and I look up to that.

My hero is my mom. she is always there for me no matter what.

My hero would be my mom. She taught me to live life to the fullest & to always do what makes you happy & not care what other people think. Even though shes not with me now I still remember what she told me.

My hero is my papa he is awesome he always makes me laugh and he teaches me a lot about working with tools and building stuff. When im not playing baseball he is there telling me ways to improve and become better. He is always there for me and I hope to be just like him when I get older.

My hero would definitely be my mom. She's always encouraged me and taken care of me despite her serious health problems, and she puts up with anything life throws her way without complaint. So many things have happened in our family lately, but still she just keeps going and doing her best to keep everyone together in the meantime. She truly is an admirable woman and I'm determined to make her proud.

My hero would have to be my parents. They support me in everything I do, and are always there for me.

I agree with your statement, "she is always there for my family and me." My mom is always there for my family too, and that is one thing I look up to.

That is really great that you are determined to make your mom proud. It sounds like she is a very strong person to be able to keep everything together with health problems and all that. I can see why she is your hero.

Diabetes is a disease in which the body does not produce or properly use insulin. The health risks associated with the disease is being low on sugar.
My position on the government making it mandatory for school-aged children to learn a specific exercise technique would be glad because the children would learn basic exercises to be fit and healthy.
